Amy Winehouse has pleaded guilty to charges of common assault and disorder at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court.
The Rehab singer has admitted to assaulting a theatre manager at a Christmas pantomime last month in Milton Keynes. Amy lashed out at Richard Pound during a performance of Cinderella on December 19. She was arrested on December 23.
District judge Peter Crabtree told the 26-year-old: "Mr Pound is a person whose job involves interaction with the public. If he’s assaulted he deserves the court’s protection. In this case it’s obvious that alcohol played its part."
Amy has been given a two year conditional discharge, and also has to pay £85 costs. She has also been ordered to pay £100 to Mr Pound in compensation.
Hunky footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has taken the place of David Beckham in the new Armani advertising campaign.
The 24-year-old football star shows off his perfectly honed body in tiny Armani briefs for the designer ads. According to the Mirror, Armani have stated that Ronaldo has “the perfect physique” and is the “essence of youth”.
Ronaldo, who is world famous for not only his football skills but also his interesting fashion sense and his apparent 3,000 sit-ups a day, will be appearing on billboards and in magazines shortly, wearing nothing but these skimpy designer pants.
What do you think of the ad? We can’t help but find it a little bit stomach-churning, but that’s just us!

It was one of the most attractive celebrity pairings of recent years – Pussycat Doll Nicole and Formula One driver Lewis were seemingly a match made in heaven.
However, The Sun has reported that the pair have split after for two years together. Nicole, 31, and Lewis, 25, blamed the split on stressful work schedules and the big year ahead for the Formula One star.
The couple, who met at the 2007 MTV Europe Music Awards, had been together since 2008. Despite their different careers, the pair would often be seen publicly supporting each other, with Nicole accompanying Lewis to racetracks all over the world and Lewis watching the Pussycat Dolls perform.
A statement from Lewis and Nicole’s spokesperson confirmed: "They have decided to go their separate ways. They want to focus fully on their careers and will remain close friends."

Cheryl Cole, X-Factor beauty and one of 2009’s biggest selling artists, branded her old rival Lily Allen as “a little girl” after she ‘took the p***’ out of her in a press interview, it was reported in The Sun.
The feud between the two is just the latest in the rise of female pop star spats, and this particular one seems to be taking a turn for the worse. It began after Cheryl’s infamous “chick with a d***” jibe, after which Lily hit back with some fairly cutting words.
Funnily enough, the two had never met until recently. The feud had been put on the back burner for some time, but when they finally met, it seemed they had agreed a truce, with Cheryl hugging her and saying, “nice to meet you” and Lily replying, “there is no beef”.
However, things reportedly got ugly again when Cheryl overheard Lily allegedly “taking the p***” in the press room. Cheryl simply said that she would be the bigger woman by saying “she’s a little girl but I’m a 26-year-old woman and I’m not at school anymore.”
We can’t help but wonder what will happen next between these two. Will they ever kiss and make up?
It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for – our favourite new couple of 2009, Russell Brand and Katy Perry, have got engaged.
Their whirlwind romance has seen them take several holidays abroad, declare their love for each other via their Twitter accounts and Russell has even met Katy’s rather religious parents. And now the speedy couple, who have been together for only three and a half months, are getting married! According to reports, on New Year’s Eve, Russell popped the question to his American girlfriend, during a spiritual Indian ceremony.
The comedian and movie star sent a text message to The Sun newspaper verifying the rumours that they had taken the next step in their relationship: "It is true. Much love.” It was also reported by The Sun that Russsell had been shopping in London before their trip to Asia to buy Katy an engagement ring, and apparently told a friend: "Katy’s managed to tame me. This is it – I’m completely in love."
We wish them all the best, but do you think it’s too soon? Leave a comment below.
In light of the recent reported scandals, you’d be forgiven for being slightly surprised at the appearance of a half-naked Tiger Woods on the front cover of prestigious Vanity Fair magazine.
The golfer, who has recently been dogged by accusations of cheating on his wife with a number of women, is to grace the new issue of the publication. Topless and flexing muscles we didn’t know he had under his golf attire, he shows off the body that comes as a result of training.
Since he crashed his car at the end of November, Woods has been in the media spotlight after reports that he cheated on his wife with several women have kept the world intrigued. The sports star, who was previously thought about as rather quiet (and maybe even a bit boring) has become more famous than ever in recent weeks.
In the issue of Vanity Fair, the pictures (taken in 2006 by Annie Leibovitz) are accompanied by an in-depth look at the story of Woods, and includes interviews with people who have followed his career over the years.
We asked you, our lovely celebrity followers, what you thought the biggest celebrity scandal of last year was, and you voted in your thousands!
Somewhat unsurprisingly, Michael Jackson’s shock death came out tops, with a whopping 68% of the votes. It might even be the biggest celeb scandal of the decade, let alone 2009.
Coming second, with 10% of the votes, was the death of reality TV star Jade Goody, and a close third with 9% was the rise of Susan Boyle. With a paltry total of 0%, Jude Law and his surprise baby came in last. It seems that you didn’t care too much for Mr Law’s big scandal of the year.
The Rihanna and Chris Brown saga and the rise of X Factor’s Jedward were also popular in 2009, but the deaths of Michael Jackson and our Jade Goody were clearly the most thought-about stories of the year.
American actress Brittany Murphy died of what appeared to be natural causes, a coroner’s official has said. She was just 32.
The actress, best known for roles in Clueless, 8 Mile and Just Married, reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest in her Hollywood Hills home. She was pronounced dead at 10am US time on December 20 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in LA.
The star’s representative, Nicole Perna, released the following statement: "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
An official cause of death may not be determined for some time, since toxicology tests take several weeks, but "it appears to be natural", assistant coroner Ed Winter said.
